Background

Betty Allen and Jessica "Lunabee" Keneborus met while offering their workshops to the same non-profit and adult education organizations. Betty teaches non-toxic housekeeping using safe, effective, inexpensive, homemade household cleaners and Lunabee teaches non-toxic bath and body care using safe, effective, inexpensive, homemade bath and body products. They pooled their resources and founded Green Path Journey, with the mission: protecting ourselves and future generations from dangerous and unnecessary chemicals through education and by offering alternatives to using chemical laden household, bath and body products.

Urban farming, teaching sustainable housekeeping skills and writing fills my calendar. Everything I do, or think about, reaches to create a world of clean, comfortable homes using safe, effective, inexpensive homemade household cleaners and practical skills. In the 1860's, America embraced an education renaissance which lasted 50 years. The industrial age was coming and sophisticated chemistry was becoming a powerful tool. Families needed skills to live in the new cities and on the new frontier. The existing private universities, based on the British model of elite education, was insufficient. State colleges, immediate to the needs of their community, came into being. Now, at the beginning of this 21st century, families again need new skills and I welcome the next education renaissance. Jessica (LunaBee)

While pursuing a Degree in Community Health Education from the University of Maine at Farmington, I developed a passion for Environmental Health. My workshops, offered through non-profit organizations and Adult Education Programs, focus on sharing safe, effective, inexpensive recipes for homemade personal care products and providing education for avoiding chemicals we are exposed to through using manufactured products. My passion is to enable society to overcome chemical safety policy barriers by creating social change at the grassroots level.

By promoting awareness of dangerous and unnecessary chemical exposure and by teaching sustainable skills, we bring positive, empowering encouragement to everyone seeking their own Green Path Journey.
